A word from us:
Hi! How are you? It’s been a while.
We’re thrilled to say the Filwood Community Centre office is now open – and we’re taking bookings again. Interested is using one of our rooms? Give us a ring on 0117 914 9216 on a weekday morning, or email our Centre Manager, June McNeill.
We also want you to be assured that we’re doing everything we can and should to make our Centre a safe space to be again – and we’ll let you know when our usual groups start back up again.
In the meantime:
Here’s what else we’ve got going on:
Mini golf club
Local artist Megan Clark-Bagnall is, this summer, the ‘manager’ of the Filwood Fantastic Mini Golf Club! Over July, the club’s members will be making their own mini golf holes at home – and you can keep up to date with all that they’re doing by joining the club’s Facebook group.
Yoga from home
Kelly Sheldrick, who usually does yoga classes at our Centre, has been putting videos up on her YouTube channel while we’ve be in lockdown. This includes a 30-day yoga challenge, which you can do from the comfort of your home.
Dance classes for kids
Rosy, who usually does classes for children at the Centre, is now doing these online. There’s no obligation for people to book more than one class, so they can try it once and see if they like it! Facebook
Circus from home
Our friends, Circomedia have been doing circus skills from home, so give it a watch: https://www.circomedia.com/category/youth-circus-home-edition/
Plus much, much more!
